1. Water as needed--no more than twice a week, unless there is a very hot dry spell.
2. Mid-month apply fertilizer according to manufacturer’s directions. Alternating monthly between soluble liquids (such as Rapid Gro, Miracle Gro, K-Gro, Peters 20-20-20, etc.) and a balanced granular fertilizer is a good approach. Continue this alternating fertilizer application through October.
3. For less work, apply a good slow-release fertilizer such as Osmocote every three months, or apply one cup per plant of your favorite organic mix every month.
