2023 DSD Mid-Winter Meeting

You are invited to attend the 2023 ARS/DSD Mid-Winter Meeting to be hosted by the
Greater Palm Beach Rose Society the weekend of January 20 – 22 in Gainesville, Florida, at
the Best Western Grand Hotel and Conference Center. The Hotel is located on the north
side of Gainesville just west of I-75 at the 39th Avenue exit (SR 222).
The fun and learning start Friday afternoon with the very popular arrangement seminar.
Some vendors will also be set up then. We took a poll and most voted for dinner on your
own Friday night. If you need suggestions, ask at the registration table. After dinner, meet
up with old friends and meet new ones, in the hospitality suite.
On Saturday there is varied line up of speakers, including Malcolm Manners talking about
his travels and the great rosarians he has met along the way.
Vendors selling many types of roses and rose growing supplies will be set up in the San
Felasco and Sante Fe rooms.

Be sure to check out the great raffle prizes. We are planning on selling a different kind of
ticket that makes checking your numbers easy. The raffle will be held immediately after
the membership meeting and you must be present to win.

As always, we will be honoring the Bronze medal winners at the awards banquet. We
would also like to share in a walk down memory lane of DSD events. If you have photos of
from past DSD conventions, Blackspot and Beetle festivals and other events, please email

If they are not digital photos, you can scan and email them. (Even if you are unable to
attend the banquet, we still welcome your photos).

Plan now to join us. It will be a great way to get good start to 2023!

Note: There will not be the usual Sunday Consulting Rosarian School this year. The CR
school will be held at Mid-Winter Meetings taking place on even-numbered years.
